Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
Short version: NAC is self-hosted — your data lives on our own server, not with a third-party platform. We don't sell your data, we don't run ads, and we don't track you across the web.
1. Who We Are
Naked as Created (NAC) is a private, faith-based online community accessible at nac.social. The platform is self-hosted and operated by the community founder. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.
2. Information We Collect
When you register:
- Username and display name
- Email address (used for account recovery and notifications)
- Password (stored as a cryptographic hash — we cannot see your password)
When you use the platform:
- Messages you send in channels or direct messages
- Files, images, and other media you upload
- Your profile picture and any other profile information you choose to add
- Server membership and role assignments
- Timestamps of your activity (message times, login events)
Voice calls:
Voice and video calls are processed through a self-hosted LiveKit server. Call audio and video are transmitted peer-to-peer or through our media relay — they are not recorded or stored unless we explicitly notify you otherwise.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate and deliver the community platform
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure
- To allow other members to see your profile, messages, and content
- To send you administrative notifications (e.g., welcome messages, policy updates)
- To enforce our Community Guidelines and Terms of Service
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
4. Who Can See Your Data
Messages and content posted in community channels are visible to all members with access to those channels. Direct messages are visible only to the participants.
Community administrators and moderators may access message history and account information as needed to enforce community rules or respond to safety concerns.
We do not share your personal information with any outside parties, except where required by law.
5. Data Storage and Security
All data is stored on a privately operated server hosted in the United States. We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all platform traffic.
No system is perfectly secure. We cannot guarantee absolute protection against unauthorized access, and you use the platform at your own risk.
6. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your account and associated personal information. Messages you sent may remain in channel history but will be disassociated from your identity where technically feasible.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and personal data
To exercise any of these rights, contact an administrator directly in the NAC community.
8. Third-Party Services
NAC does not integrate with third-party analytics, advertising networks, or social login providers. All platform components — chat, file storage, and voice — are self-hosted.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Material changes will be announced in the community.
